STAFF RATIO: 4 Educators for between 16-20 Children
The Toddler program at Precious Momentz Child Care in Queanbeyan caters to children aged 2 years to 3 years old. The Toddler Room offers the children more experiences and activities with a little more structure with group times and language and literature.
Our focus is on providing a high-quality, innovative and exciting education program based on each child's interests. Our friendly and warm learning environment promotes independence, curiosity, and the development of a strong foundation for lifelong learning. We celebrate and encourage each child's individual needs, wants and creativity. We do this by providing opportunities for:
- Finger/brush painting,
- Water play
- Music (instruments, songs, etc.)
- Language experiences (books, pictures, conversations, etc.)
- Puzzles
- Fine motor play
- Cause and effect play
- Gross motor play
- Drama (puppets, dress-ups, dolls, home corner)
- And other fun and stimulating activities.a
Our Toddler learning space is designed to support the emerging sense of identity of each child and provide a safe and supportive environment where they can experiment and explore the world around them. We offer a range of exciting and familiar resources that encourage children to develop new skills.
The Toddler Educators focus on further developing, refining and enhancing all areas of children’s development – especially sharing, turn-taking and self-help skills.
